Our friends at Punk Publishers are hosting a hands-on workshop that aims to let budding writers in on the simple secrets of ebook publishing.

Want to turn your Word file into an ebook to publish on Kindle, iBooks, Kobo and every online bookshop in the world? Then this workshop is for you.

Indie authors Andy Conway and David Wake will reveal how any author can publish in a few simple steps in this lively, hands-on workshop.

‘It’s really easy and really cheap to publish online,’ says Andy Conway. ‘A lot of people are telling writers it’s complicated and expensive and they’re trying to con writers out of their life savings. We wrote Punk Publishing because we wanted to tell writers how to avoid these scams and publish their books with a few clicks and for free.’

‘The idea behind the workshop,’ says David Wake, ‘is that people can come with a Word file and leave with a published ebook. We just want people to bring a laptop and a Word file and we’ll show them how to join the self-publishing revolution.’

Hosted by the BCU School of English, the workshop will take place in a new state-of-the-art lecture theatre called the Hub, in the Curzon Building at Birmingham City University’s city centre campus.

Tuesday 12 June 2018. 7pm
BCU Curzon Building, B4 7BD.

Tickets £10 (BCU students and New Street Authors members £5) Book now at Punk Publishers.
